Exceptional Children
At G.O. B.I.G., we believe every child deserves access to a high-quality education tailored to their unique needs. Our Exceptional Children (EC) program provides individualized support for students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the resources and accommodations necessary to thrive. Through specialized instruction, assistive technology, and a team of dedicated professionals, we create a learning environment that fosters academic growth, independence, and confidence. We work closely with families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans that align with each student’s strengths and goals.

Commitment to Legislative Compliance
G.O. B.I.G. adheres to all federal and state laws governing the education of exceptional children, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. These laws ensure that students with disabilities receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment. We are committed to meeting all compliance requirements, from timely evaluations and appropriate accommodations to ensuring procedural safeguards are in place to protect the rights of students and families. Our team stays informed about legal updates to ensure our students receive equitable and high-quality support.
Parent Rights & Advocacy
At G.O. B.I.G. we understand that families play a crucial role in their child’s educational journey, and we are committed to ensuring parents and guardians of exceptional children understand their rights. Parents and guardians have the right to participate in all decisions regarding their child's education, including IEP development, placement, and services. They also have the right to request evaluations, access educational records, and pursue dispute resolution if needed. Our team is here to support and guide families through the process, ensuring transparency and collaboration every step of the way. We provide workshops, resources, and one-on-one consultations to empower parents as advocates for their children.

Culture of Support
At G.O. B.I.G., we foster a culture of inclusion where exceptional children feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Our classrooms incorporate research-based strategies, differentiated instruction, and sensory-friendly spaces to accommodate diverse learning needs. We prioritize social-emotional learning, peer mentorship, and community engagement to ensure that every student is not only academically challenged but also emotionally supported. By embracing diversity and promoting an inclusive school culture, we prepare our students for success in school and beyond.
